About Us

Rick Wilson Painting was founded in 1987 by James Richard "Rick" Wilson of Lake Wales, who was born in Bartow and raised in Polk City, FL. With a strong work ethic and a generous spirit, Rick built a reputation for excellence throughout Central Florida, often donating his services to paint churches at his own expense. Under his leadership, the company became a trusted name in Polk County, completing projects for churches, schools, fire stations, and more. Former members of winter haven, lakeland and haines city chambers of commerce, the business proudly served the community for many years. Since Rick’s passing in 2018, his wife, Georgia, and four sons—Ricky, Aaron, Blake, and Jordan—have continued his legacy, maintaining the family-owned operation with the same dedication and values he instilled.

Rick Wilson Painting is licensed, bonded, and insured. We offer general liability and workers' comp of up to $2M in coverage to all of our customers. We are a drug-free workplace with 11 full-time employees. Each employee is certified in the API Worksafe Program. All work comes with a one-year warranty.
